State of the Soil Virtual Summit: Jan. 23rd-27th

Winter is a great time for education in the realm of farming. Chores and agendas tend to be a little lighter, and the fireside calls for many hours spent reading and brushing up on new ideas that will become valuable tools come summer time.

This past summer, I met Nick Burton, who is one of the few farmers out there that is actually a fan of social media. These folks are rare, but so helpful, and it was clear to me that Nick is on a mission to help farmers market themselves better and succeed in this waning career field. I agreed to share some thoughts for an event he put together called the State of the Soil Virtual Summit, which is now just around the corner!

The State of the Soil Summit is a compilation of marketing advice and personal knowledge shared from several speakers that Nick met as he travelled the U.S. in search of what farmers were doing “right.” If you’re interested, check out the super packed agenda and the speakers page to see my little mention along with the other amazing folks contributing to the presentations.

General registration is free, and comes with free downloads, including concise booklets on how to retain customers at the farmers market, and how to wrangle your social media outlets. If you like what you see, and want all the goodies (additional offers, online access, local networking invites), then you can treat yourself to the Full Access Pass. In fact, Nick was kind enough to offer me a 25% commission for anyone who uses the above links to purchase a Full Access Pass, so if you go all out, you can support one of the speakers in the process! Win-win!

The summit begins on January 23rd, so don’t wait too long before checking it out. Make some tea, throw another log on, and educate yourself!
